Developer Community Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid); the role also manages community programming in New York City.

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own developer community strategy and programming across San Francisco and New York.
• Build relationships with AI engineers, founders, researchers, technical leaders, startups, universities, developer groups, and ecosystem partners.
• Create recurring meetups, technical workshops, hackathons, builder dinners, office hours, and other community programs.
• Partner with DevRel and Product to create hands-on experiences with hirify.global's APIs and support developer adoption.
• Develop community champions, online engagement, product feedback loops, and partnerships with developer platforms and open-source projects.
• Define and measure community growth, event participation, API signups, activation, product usage, advocacy, and community-sourced pipeline.

Requirements

• Experience building or managing developer, technical, startup, or AI communities.
• Strong relationships within the AI and developer ecosystem, particularly in San Francisco and/or New York.
• Experience creating events and programs that technical audiences attend repeatedly.
• Technical fluency in APIs, AI agents, LLMs, developer infrastructure, and modern AI application development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience collaborating across DevRel, Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales.
• Data-driven approach to connecting community engagement with product adoption, retention, advocacy, and pipeline.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI infrastructure, developer tools, APIs, or open-source communities.
• Active participation in developer or AI communities.
