Location: On-site in San Francisco, United States, 5 days per week; travel to events in other locations may be required.

What you will do

• Build and manage the Factory Guild developer ambassador program, including recruiting and supporting the first cohorts.
• Run developer events end to end and represent Factory at sponsored events.
• Represent Factory through talks, workshops, podcasts, live demos, and participation in open-source communities.
• Build relationships with relevant technology companies, individuals, and developer communities.
• Gather developer feedback and communicate product needs to the people building the product.
• Create tutorials, demo scripts, and workshop content to help developers get started.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in developer relations, community, developer advocacy, or comparable community-focused work as a developer.
• Strong public speaking, listening, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Technical credibility with engineers and confidence demonstrating products and discussing autonomous software, coding agents, harnesses, and LLMs.
• Experience running events or programs end to end.
• Fast, responsive communication with community members and comfort working in ambiguous conditions.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience managing a community or ambassador program from scratch.
• Recognition in AI or developer-tooling communities through open source, talks, writing, or community leadership.
• Software engineering background combined with an interest in people-facing work.
