Yard Supervisor (Automotive)

Location: Cookstown, Ontario, Canada; onsite with travel as needed

Salary: CAD 28.73–32.34 per hour

What you will do

• Supervise daily yard operations and support yard staff.
• Prepare schedules, complete operational audits, and monitor productivity and attendance.
• Oversee vehicle loading, yard cleanliness, safety awareness, fencing, and facility maintenance.
• Manage supplies, inventory, fleet maintenance, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Handle employee and customer service issues while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Support security and loss prevention, respond to alarm calls, and travel as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma; some college education is preferred.
• Basic automotive mechanics knowledge and the ability to address mechanical issues on vehicle lots.
• Customer service, communication, delegation, prioritization, coaching, and training skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and inventory management skills.
• Fluent English reading and writing, valid driver's license, ability to differentiate colors, and availability for occasional overtime.

Nice to have

• Bilingual skills.
• Some college education or more.
