What you will do
- Lead equipment and yard operations, including allocation, warehousing, inventory control, yard management, and transport coordination.
- Oversee the equipment lifecycle from procurement and deployment through maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
- Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment reliability, utilization, availability, and service continuity.
- Lead recruitment, training, performance management, workforce planning, and employee relations for operational staff.
- Develop operating and capital budgets, forecasts, cost controls, equipment rates, lifecycle costing, and financial reports.
- Coordinate procurement, vendor management, project planning, compliance, audits, and improvements to equipment tracking and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in equipment management, fleet management, yard operations, or related industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of equipment lifecycle management, maintenance planning, procurement, asset utilization, budgets, capital planning, and cost control.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, solve problems, and prioritize work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel; ERP or equipment management systems experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as required by company policy.
