Yard Supervisor (Construction Logistics)

Location: Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada; based at the project office

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Develop procurement strategies with the Senior Project Manager for construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Source and evaluate vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, issue purchase orders, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, monitor deliveries, and resolve logistics or supplier issues.
• Oversee the loading, unloading, handling, storage, and organization of yard materials.
• Maintain inventory control processes, conduct physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate material deliveries with Project Managers and field teams while promoting a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing, logistics, or inventory management, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, inventory control methods, and logistics operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and relevant tools.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications or training in supply chain management or logistics.
