Cost Engineering Analyst I (GSA Sales Specialist) (Automotive)

Location: Cleveland, NC, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States. The position is open to candidates who can work in or relocate to Cleveland, NC; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $65,000–$83,000 USD annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Administer GSA programs, interpret federal standards, and ensure contract and regulatory compliance.
• Receive and process GSA vehicle orders with dealers, maintain product and option pricing, and prepare quotes for standard and custom bids.
• Track production schedules, delivery requirements, order documentation, final unit release, and dealer invoicing.
• Coordinate with dealers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, inspectors, and sales and marketing stakeholders.
• Support GSA inspections, PAR reviews, new installations, field issues, repairs, and manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to communicate through verbal discussions, email, official letters, and reports.
• Ability to review and interpret data using spreadsheets and equivalent reports.
• Ability to read technical documentation, including part drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of material.
• Proficiency with IMS, Shop-Tech, OMT, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship and applications from existing visa holders are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Engineering or manufacturing background.
• Knowledge of Enterprise IQ, SAP, CHEC programming, or VIVA.
• Ability to operate truck equipment.
• Valid CDL license.
