Set Up Technician - Injection Molding (Nights)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; must be eligible to work in the United States

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 USD per hour, plus a 10% night-shift differential

What you will do

• Start up, operate, and monitor injection molding, assembly, packaging, auxiliary, automated, and robotic equipment.
• Load validated cycle parameters and programs, align automated systems, and verify that equipment and product quality meet specifications.
• Perform visual inspections, line clearances, mold cleaning, mold pulling and setting, color changes, material-lot changes, and traceability documentation.
• Troubleshoot small and mid-size process problems, respond to alarms, and escalate issues to Setter Level 2 or Maintenance when needed.
• Complete Level 1 TPM activities, cycle checklists, and LOTO procedures for unsafe equipment.
• Support lean initiatives, process improvements, ISO standards, GMP, health and safety requirements, and standard work procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for approximately 90% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb.
• Ability to satisfy the position's vision-testing requirements.
• Basic math, computer, and mechanical skills.
• Injection molding or robotics knowledge is preferred.
