Setup Technician I (Injection Molding)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO, United States; onsite role

Salary: $20–$23 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Prepare, install, and remove molds for injection molding production runs.
• Set up presses and auxiliary equipment, including oil heaters, thermolators, temperature controllers, robots, and end-of-arm tooling.
• Adjust processing parameters, perform startups, and verify equipment readiness against procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor molded products for visual and dimensional conformity and take corrective action when needed.
• Complete setup sheets, job packets, and special instructions accurately.
• Support waste reduction, throughput improvement, daily management routines, Kaizen, 6S, and other continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical or injection molding setup experience; 3–5 years is preferred.
• Ability to use powered hand tools, fasteners, and measurement devices.
• Intermediate molding and processing skills, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic math, computer literacy, and data-entry skills; SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 15 feet, work in confined spaces, and stand or walk throughout the shift.
