Mold Technician (Injection Molding)

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States; onsite, primarily 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Salary: $21–$27 per hour, plus a $1.25 shift differential and a $10,000 sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Set up production runs in injection-molding presses and maintain auxiliary equipment, including water units, temperature controllers, robots, and end-of-arm tooling.
• Perform mold removal, barrel changes, setup and shutdown procedures, barrel purging, and press TPMs.
• Inspect molded parts for visual and dimensional conformity and take corrective action or escalate defects.
• Complete job packets and support reliable production flow, waste elimination, cost effectiveness, and product quality.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen events and 6S initiatives.
• Complete additional production and organizational support tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have the right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of mechanical or injection-molding setup experience preferred.
• Basic math, computer literacy, accurate data entry, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to use powered hand tools, fasteners, and measurement devices; SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to kneel, crawl, crouch, work in confined spaces, stand and walk throughout the shift, lift up to 60 pounds, and follow written instructions.
