General Store Manager (Retail)

What you will do

• Lead daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, brand standards, safety requirements, and audit procedures.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain management and associate teams while building a collaborative and accountable workplace.
• Deliver strong guest experiences, resolve concerns, maintain store presentation, and represent the brand in the local community.
• Manage labor, inventory, operating costs, sales reporting, and performance metrics to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability goals.
• Oversee food preparation, merchandising, product quality, freshness, sanitation, and allergen control.
• Coordinate safety inspections, maintenance, emergency preparedness, facility repairs, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive retail, restaurant, or hospitality management experience; full-store or multi-department leadership is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in team leadership, operations management, financial performance, and strategic decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution, business, food safety, merchandising, and guest service skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems, reporting tools, and standard office software.
• ServSafe or another approved food safety certification is required within 90 days of employment or promotion.
• High school diploma or equivalent; flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
