Assistant Closing Manager (Retail)

Location: Canarsie, NY #0204, United States; onsite retail club role

Salary: $22.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Lead end-of-day execution across Recovery, Utility, Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli, Dairy/Freezer, and overnight preparation.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned, overseeing club operations, team leadership, and member engagement.
• Maintain clean, stocked, fresh, safe, and fully operational departments through closing.
• Monitor inventory, product rotation, waste, merchandising, sanitation, safety, and audit-readiness standards.
• Coach team members, support onboarding and certifications, and drive productivity and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with club leadership and department leads to resolve member concerns and improve closing routines.

Requirements

• Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification is required and must be maintained.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Two years of retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable-operations experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory turnover and waste reduction; basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and maintain required training and certifications.
