Assistant Club Manager (Retail)

Location: Garden City, NY; full-time, onsite club leadership role requiring regular, predictable full attendance.

Salary: $73,250–$91,750 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with the Club Manager to lead daily operations across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience departments.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, certify, coach, and develop team members and future leaders.
• Plan labor and schedules, monitor sales and inventory, control shrink, and use reporting tools to improve performance and profitability.
• Enforce GOLD, GAA, and LAST member service standards while resolving member concerns and maintaining a premium shopping experience.
• Ensure departments are clean, stocked, safe, compliant, and ready for business; lead audits and address food safety, sanitation, OSHA, RIST, and cold-chain requirements.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, providing full operational and team leadership during assigned shifts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, develop staff, and drive results.
• Knowledge of shrink control, merchandising, customer service, conflict resolution, membership, frontline, gas station, tire bay, maintenance, receiving, and omni procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and email.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe food safety certification.
• Forklift operation, open-shift availability, full attendance, and a minimum age of 18 are required.
