Set Up Technician - Injection Molding (Days)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Start up, operate, and monitor injection molding, assembly, packaging, automated, and robotic equipment.
• Load validated cycle parameters and programs, align automated systems, and ensure machines run to standard.
• Inspect products, retrieve quality documentation, perform line clearances, and maintain traceability records.
• Pull and set molds, clean injection molds, complete color and material-lot changes, and prepare startup batches.
• Troubleshoot small and mid-size process issues, respond to alarms, and escalate problems to higher-level setters or maintenance.
• Complete Level 1 TPM, cycle checklists, LOTO procedures, lean initiatives, and process improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for 90% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb, and satisfy job-related vision testing requirements.
• Basic math, PC, and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.

Nice to have

• Injection molding or robotics knowledge.
