Maintenance Technician - Injection (Nights)

Location: Philly - Ontario, California, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $31.79–$46.10 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molders, blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain production equipment, industrial control systems, chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis, water filtration, and other plant equipment.
• Work with operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve shift issues.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, and material consumption throughout the shift.
• Recommend solutions for complex and recurring equipment problems and follow plant safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least four years of experience in maintenance, a similar field, the position, or managing people and projects; equivalent combinations of education and experience may apply.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience using shop equipment and precision measuring tools, including calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Effective communication across departments and willingness to serve as a technical leader and trainer.
• Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Nice to have

• Six years of relevant experience and experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives and motors, PLC input/output cards, safety modules, communication systems, and industrial controls.
• Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment, rotary equipment, HVAC, chillers, and air compressors.
• Electrical experience with 480VAC and 24VDC systems, plus fabrication and welding skills.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, automation, or a related field.
