Location: USA - CT - Bloomfield; onsite plant operations role

Salary: $159,100–$218,800 annual base salary

What you will do

  • Lead daily operations at a 380-person bakery producing breads, rolls, buns, and stuffing.
  • Oversee safety, quality, maintenance, cost, customer service, employee engagement, and performance across plant departments.
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction, productivity, and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Monitor labor, yield, delivered cost, controllable expenses, budgets, and other performance indicators, creating action plans for gaps.
  • Partner with internal functions, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders while ensuring manufacturing, environmental, quality, and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing and supply chain experience, including mid- to smaller-scale operations.
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading diverse teams in a high-performance organization.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, equipment reliability, and Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and R&D interfaces.
  • Experience managing and leading union or non-union environments.

Nice to have

  • P&L responsibility and Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Safety Management, Logistics, and Warehouse Management.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic decision-making, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital productivity tools.
  • Experience advancing corporate social responsibility through community engagement and servant leadership.
