Software Engineer I (Enterprise AI)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for H-1B, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT.

Annual salary: $99,100–$163,400, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered enterprise solutions through production.
• Use large language models, agentic workflows, AWS or Azure, and Kubernetes to solve business problems.
• Contribute to application architecture and engineering decisions with architects, product owners, and senior engineers.
• Apply source control, test automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices while maintaining operational ownership.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, participate in code reviews, and share technical knowledge.
• Contribute to engineering chapter events, innovation activities, shared tools, and team capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two additional years of software engineering experience, including production delivery and maintenance of software systems.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience working in agile, collaborative environments with limited direction and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with machine learning, LLM integrations, agentic workflows, Terraform, NoSQL databases, workflow orchestration, RAG, observability, secure-by-design practices, or multi-agent frameworks.
