Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Salary: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods and perform time studies.
• Analyze workstations and production cells to improve productivity and quality.
• Develop fabrication and machining methods and support manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
• Assist with plant layouts, workstation design, and technical support for production personnel.
• Use ERP manufacturing software and create documentation for new product launches.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or a related engineering field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to combine office-based work with physical activity in production or field environments, including walking, standing, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to shift between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge or exposure to JD Edwards.
• Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
• Experience with welding, machining, or fabrication.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
