Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Marine)

Location: Onsite in Edgewater, Florida, United States. Relocation is available. Full-time internship from May to August 2027, with a 40-hour work week.

Salary: $18.00–$26.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to increase productivity and reduce operating costs.
• Conduct manpower forecasts, capacity analyses, resource leveling, and other engineering studies.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation in critical processes.
• Create 3D plant-layout models and maintain documentation for engineering studies.
• Create fiberglass molds, vendor specification prints, and CAD designs for new marine products.
• Participate in design reviews, product building, testing, and validation for Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and Navan products.

Requirements

• At least two years completed toward a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and experience using engineering tools and methods in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and MS Project.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced fiberglass and resin environment.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Coursework in statistics, work measurement and design, or quality engineering.
• 3D modeling and simulation experience.
• Boating, fishing, or marine industry knowledge.
