Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Marine Manufacturing)

Location: Edgewater, Florida, United States; onsite. Full-time internship from May to August 2027. Relocation is available, but no destination is specified.

Salary: $18.00–$26.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing processes using engineering tools and industrial engineering methods.
• Conduct manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, and variation studies.
• Support the implementation and use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Create 3D models of plant layouts and maintain documentation for studies and analyses.
• Create fiberglass molds and specification prints for new parts and products.
• Participate in design reviews, CAD creation, building, testing, and validation of new marine products.

Requirements

• At least two years completed toward a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and experience using engineering tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and MS Project.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced fiberglass and resin environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States immediately without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Availability for a full 40-hour work week during the May–August 2027 internship.

Nice to have

• Coursework in statistics, work measurement and design, or quality engineering.
• 3D modeling and simulation experience.
• Boating, fishing, or marine industry knowledge or experience.
