Senior Mechanical Engineer (Motorized/Treats)

Salary: $85,000–$140,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design and develop consumer products from initial concepts through ongoing product support.
• Work with engineering and product development teams to understand systems, performance factors, and tradeoffs.
• Collaborate across disciplines to brainstorm solutions, build proof-of-concept prototypes, and conduct testing.
• Guide mechanical engineers, co-ops, and interns.
• Help bring new products to market through the global development organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of design and development experience.
• Experience turning enabling technologies into innovative products launched on the market.
• Hands-on prototyping experience with 3D printing, machining, hand tools, and robust assembly construction.
• Laboratory experience conducting controlled experiments with test equipment and instrumentation.
• CAD proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo, plus experience using Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, or similar tools to analyze test data.

Nice to have

• Understanding of thermodynamics.
• Experience designing and executing experimental test plans.
• Consumer products or engineering consulting experience.
• Experience with analog or digital electronics, sensors, motors, heaters, PCBAs, and related test equipment.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
