Software Engineer 2 (Linux/Bash/Python/MongoDB/Docker/Kubernetes/RabbitMQ/PostgreSQL)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States — hybrid. U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Develop, test, integrate, sustain, and troubleshoot a suite of software applications.
• Implement software integrations with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
• Develop software and automation using Python, Bash, and the Linux command line.
• Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• Work with MongoDB, RabbitMQ, CI/CD tooling, GitLab CI, Ansible, and related development infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus three years of relevant software engineering experience; bachelor's degree plus five years; or seven years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Linux CLI, Bash scripting, recent Python 3.x development, MongoDB, Docker, CI/CD, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, RabbitMQ, Ansible, and Git.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
