Python Engineer and Developer - Associate (Python)

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States; office work Monday–Thursday with remote work available on Friday

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year

hirify.global develops financial technology solutions and is expanding its Core Operations Technology team.

What you will do

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Python applications and scripts.
• Build REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
• Develop Lambda-based serverless tasks and manage AWS S3 file storage.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile development.
• Write unit and automated tests and support third-party API and library integrations.
• Maintain Git version control and follow CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of Python development experience, including web scraping tools, REST APIs, JSON, and Git.
• Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL, Linux/Unix, and Flask or Django.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, S3, and serverless application development.
• Exposure to pytest or unittest, Docker, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure or GCP.
