Manufacturing Safety Intern

Location: Bedford, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite work combining office duties with physical activity in production environments.

Salary: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Review written safety programs and procedures and develop related training curricula.
• Assist with accident investigations, corrective actions, compliance assessments, and injury-reduction initiatives.
• Develop and update safety and health training programs for business units.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend workplace improvements.
• Quantify and present safety and health statistics to management.
• Support and manage the Safety Management System and other safety projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to learn new programs quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform office and production-floor work, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
