EHS Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA

Salary: $22–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Support contractor management processes through Benchmark or a similar EHS management system.
• Convert SOPs and work instructions into interactive training and assessment modules.
• Support EHS capital projects by gathering vendor quotes, developing specifications, and preparing documentation.
• Develop Safety Huddle materials, safety videos, voiceovers, and interactive safety awareness content.
• Lead EHS-focused Gemba audits, document findings, and enter results into Benchmark and Managers+.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams on continuous improvement and Kaizen projects.

Requirements

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related EHS field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
