Setter (APU 2-D) (Injection Molding)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; onsite manufacturing and warehouse environment

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 USD per hour, plus a 10% night-shift differential

What you will do

• Start up, operate, and monitor injection molding, assembly, packaging, automated, robotic, and auxiliary equipment.
• Load validated cycle parameters and programs, align automated systems, and verify that equipment runs to production and quality specifications.
• Set and pull molds, clean injection molds, perform color changes and material-lot changes, and maintain traceability documentation.
• Inspect products, complete line clearances, cycle checklists, documentation retrieval, and assembly start-up batches.
• Troubleshoot small and medium process issues, respond to alarms, and escalate issues to Setter Level 2 or Maintenance when needed.
• Complete Level 1 Total Productive Maintenance, perform lockout/tagout on unsafe equipment, and contribute to lean and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 lb and stand or walk for 90% of the shift.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb.
• Must satisfy the job's vision-testing requirements.
• Basic math, PC, and mechanical skills; injection molding or robotic knowledge is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
