Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Automated Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own conveyance, pneumatic systems, and mechanical equipment supporting automated production cells.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, pneumatic stoppers, actuators, motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and electromechanical systems.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance across approximately 40 conveyance cells and identify equipment degradation before downtime occurs.
• Develop and maintain critical mechanical and pneumatic spare-parts inventory based on equipment criticality, failure history, and lead time.
• Partner with Robotics and Controls technicians to resolve cross-functional equipment failures and provide backup support.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement initiatives for recurring mechanical and pneumatic failures.

Requirements

• Technical trade school certification and 5+ years of practical experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Deep mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing, conveyance, material-handling, and production equipment.
• Hands-on experience repairing conveyor systems, pneumatic actuators, stoppers, cylinders, motors, bearings, sensors, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong understanding of pneumatic air preparation, valves, regulators, cylinders, tubing, pressure regulation, and intermittent-failure troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and OEM documentation.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root-cause analysis, cross-disciplinary troubleshooting, Microsoft Office, and technical communication.
