Maintenance Planner (Metal Recycling)

Location: 75 Steel City Ct, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; onsite work across 28 recycling sites, including field walks with site managers and contractors.

Salary: CAD 80,000–CAD 95,000 yearly

What you will do

• Coordinate inspection, repair, and replacement of fixed-asset equipment across recycling sites.
• Review service requests, define scopes of work, and document equipment, parts, labor, and responsible parties.
• Conduct field walks with site managers and contractors and identify site-specific safety hazards and controls.
• Build and maintain work schedules, forecasting task hours, durations, and required skills.
• Procure equipment and specialized tools, coordinate technical documentation, and manage purchase requisitions.
• Prioritize maintenance with operations and management while improving reliability, reducing costs, and minimizing equipment failures.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in millwrighting or maintenance planning.
• Industrial Mechanic college diploma and/or Certificate of Qualification.
• Experience with CMMS, preferably Maximo.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and interpreting technical drawings.
• Ability to coordinate with site managers, procurement and inventory teams, contractors, management, and operations personnel.
