Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Ontario, Canada; on-site

Salary: CAD 85,000–CAD 100,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise and direct unionized mill maintenance personnel and external maintenance contractors.
• Lead routine and preventive maintenance scheduling for tradespersons.
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance with operating departments and planners.
• Maximize quality and production while minimizing maintenance costs and unscheduled downtime.
• Implement company policies, values, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Mentor and coach employees through active observation and feedback.

Requirements

• Red Seal trade certificate, diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, or at least two years of experience supervising trades in a unionized industrial environment.
• Strong communication, listening, organizational, planning, prioritization, and delegation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and previous experience using a CMMS.
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada when applying.
