Staff Customer Qualification Engineer (SSD)

Salary: $115,470–$192,440 per year

What you will do

• Manage complex customer qualification infrastructure for datacenter SSD products.
• Develop test plans and drive qualification execution according to schedule.
• Perform failure triage, isolate issues, and drive them to resolution.
• Coordinate tasks with Product Support Engineering and customer stakeholders.
• Prepare recurring test status reports and manage issues in a bug-tracking system.
• Ensure all hardware and software components are ready for qualification execution.

Requirements

• BS degree in computer engineering or an equivalent field, plus 7+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience.
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with SSDs or related storage devices.
• Platform-level troubleshooting experience, including run, break/fix, and issue isolation capabilities.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for individual and cross-team scripting, plus strong technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCIe/NVMe protocols, analyzers, and power measurement tools.
• Experience with SSD performance measurement tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD specifications and SSD test systems.
• Experience working with stakeholders in product development organizations.
