SSD Product Quality & Reliability Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Onsite in Rancho Cordova/Sacramento, California; not eligible for remote work

Salary: USD 121,280–194,100 yearly

What you will do

• Create infrastructure for SSD qualification.
• Design, plan, and execute qualification of SSDs and their components using industry best practices.
• Develop physical-understanding and prediction models to improve semiconductor product quality and reliability.
• Develop cost-effective production monitoring and screening schemes.
• Use data-driven methods to predict and prevent defects and verify product performance throughout life-cycle milestones.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• At least 6 months of programming experience with C, C++, or Python.
• Ability to work onsite at the Sacramento location.
• Strong communication, research, writing, time management, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with probability and statistics and JMP, Minitab, or similar statistical software.
• Experience with computer programming for data acquisition, reduction, and analysis.
• Hands-on experimental design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and synthesis.
• Experience working effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of transistor device physics, fabrication processes, storage architecture, or NAND memory firmware.
