Senior Event Marketing Manager (Architecture & Design)

Location: Remote; extensive travel and physical presence at major industry events required, including evenings and weekends as needed.

What you will do

• Build the decision framework for trade shows and industry events based on audience fit, projected ROI, and strategic firm presence.
• Set annual and quarterly event calendars and budgets with Marketing leadership.
• Define target-firm lists and lead end-to-end event execution, including booth design, staffing, logistics, travel, and on-site presence.
• Assemble and lead cross-functional marketing teams, contractors, and agencies.
• Design branded activations, giveaways, and incentive structures that drive registration, engagement, and conversion.
• Manage organizers, industry associations, and vendors while reporting event performance and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or trade show and conference management.
• Demonstrated success achieving metrics-based goals through events, beyond managing logistics.
• Experience creating engagement mechanics, activations, and branded experiences that measurably improve participation and conversion.
• Strong project management skills, including running multiple events, managing budgets, and coordinating internal and external teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively and attend events in person, including evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in the architecture and design industry.
• People management experience with cross-functional or dotted-line teams.
• Established relationships with IFMA, AIA, IIDA, and event or vendor networks.
