Product Owner II (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid position that can be based anywhere in the M&T footprint; Buffalo, New York, United States

Salary: $123,600–$206,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own the vision and roadmap for a large product or product portfolio in alignment with business strategy.
• Represent customer and stakeholder needs, prioritize and sequence product backlogs, and make autonomous delivery decisions.
• Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and support Acceptance Test-Driven Development.
• Collaborate with agile delivery teams, Product Owners, business partners, senior stakeholders, and user experience teams.
• Use design thinking, analytics, and customer engagement to guide product design and measure outcomes.
• Manage product risks, regulatory requirements, audit points, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of business, analytical, technical, or product experience; alternatively, 10 years of combined higher education and work experience including 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience prioritizing competing demands and making independent decisions in a changing environment.
• Knowledge of product design and development practices, Agile, and Lean principles.
• Ability to influence stakeholders through accountability and ownership without direct managerial responsibility.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in the hybrid arrangement within the M&T footprint.
