What you will do
- Assign and delegate daily tasks to warehouse associates and monitor progress against receiving, picking, and shipping goals.
- Train and mentor new and existing team members on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Serve as the primary team contact, resolve immediate issues, and escalate complex problems to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Perform quality checks on packed orders and inventory to prevent shipping errors.
- Enforce safety policies and support a secure, productive work environment.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment; current forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory scanning technology.
- Ability to perform the role's manual, visual, and communication-related physical demands.
