Intermediate Software Development (Java)

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid work

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 CAD annual base salary or OTE

What you will do

• Shape and evolve the platform integration ecosystem as new use cases and extensibility requirements emerge.
• Architect and build systems capable of processing high transaction volumes.
• Design, implement, and support scalable, fault-tolerant systems that minimize customer impact during failures.
• Contribute to the transition toward a microservice-oriented architecture.
• Develop and maintain production-grade code across the full stack, collaborating with specialists when deeper expertise is needed.

Requirements

• Written and spoken French and English are required.
• Three years of relevant software development experience and a track record of delivering end-to-end business solutions.
• Experience developing solutions in multiple programming languages, with strong working knowledge of Java or other JVM languages, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Knowledge of web service technologies and experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong product mindset, full-stack fundamentals, and effective collaboration skills.
• Experience using AI coding agents for bounded tasks and feature-sized work with ownership of design intent, testing strategy, and code quality.
