IT Product Manager (SAP)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The role may require working up to five days in the office, emergency restoration assignments, and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Annual salary: $155,690–$172,990, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Own the SAP Finance product roadmap for the Finance and Accounting Reinvention program and align priorities with business, risk, regulatory, and technology objectives.
• Define finance capabilities, future-state processes, features, user journeys, and measurable outcomes with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
• Manage program-level backlogs, feature prioritization, refinement, estimation, dependencies, risks, and PI objectives.
• Lead SAFe ceremonies and operating rhythms, including PI Planning, system demos, inspect-and-adapt sessions, and cross-team alignment.
• Coordinate Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, architects, system integrators, and delivery teams.
• Guide SAP S/4HANA Finance delivery across general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, reporting, financial close, controls, banking, and integrations.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of progressive experience in IT product management, SAP delivery, finance technology, ERP transformation, or enterprise applications.
• Strong SAP Finance experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, migrations, or large-scale transformation programs.
• Heavy practical SAFe experience, including Agile Release Trains, program backlogs, PI Planning, PI objectives, dependency management, and multi-team delivery.
• Hands-on knowledge of core finance processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, reconciliation, controls, and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Leading SAFe, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Fiori, enterprise reporting, integration platforms, or data conversion.
• Experience in utility, energy, regulated, or asset-intensive industries.
• Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and distributed delivery teams.
