Product Manager III (Public Sector)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Support product vision, strategy, scope, schedule, and delivery for Veterans Affairs digital products and services.
• Apply Agile methods and facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, release plans, product briefs, and presentations.
• Work with clients, product owners, engineering, design, research, and other stakeholders to translate needs into product priorities.
• Decompose complex problems, build consensus, identify delivery risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Coach and mentor junior product team members through actionable feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience substituted for education.
• 3+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a related product delivery role.
• Experience with Agile product development, iterative delivery, product roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, and product documentation.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience gathering and translating business, user, and stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting digital products or services in federal government or public-sector environments.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary digital services teams.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Product Manager, Certified ScrumMaster, or another related product or Agile certification.
