Senior Systems Engineer (Radar)

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite at the Farmingdale facility. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $107,796–$189,572 annually. An annual or quarterly bonus may apply, and alternative shifts may include a location-based shift premium.

What you will do

• Support the complete systems engineering lifecycle for complex radar, surveillance, and communication systems.
• Decompose, derive, allocate, and manage system requirements across engineering disciplines using DOORS.
• Develop system design, interface, test, integration, and verification documentation.
• Support or lead staff design reviews and ensure compliance with system requirements.
• Interact with customers through technical interchange meetings, design reviews, training sessions, and verification events.
• Provide post-delivery field testing and support, including target analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience generating system requirements, design documentation, and interface documentation, with requirements management using DOORS.
• Experience with systems integration, traceability, test, and common laboratory test equipment.
• Functional knowledge of RF and radar system elements, including antennas, receivers, transmitters, and processors.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a background permitting issuance of a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Primary radar or secondary surveillance systems experience.
• Radar signal processing experience in the aerospace industry.
• Data analysis using MATLAB or an equivalent tool.
• Proposal development, Basis of Estimate development, or Earned Value Management Systems experience.
• Cybersecurity or safety certification experience.
