Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year

What you will do

• Develop system requirements and select components for internal research, new air defense, and missile defense platforms.
• Conduct benchtop integration and integrate components onto final platforms.
• Design intra- and inter-platform network architectures for low-latency, secure man-in-the-loop and man-on-the-loop operations.
• Implement and manage VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, multicast, and optical transport systems.
• Select, integrate, and troubleshoot LOS and BLOS communications, including terrestrial radio networks and ground BLOS circuits.
• Develop network test procedures and lead system analysis, verification, validation, risk management, and technical planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Experience developing system architectures and requirements for program design.
• Hands-on enterprise networking experience with TCP/IP, the OSI model, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and multicast.
• Practical experience with LOS/BLOS communications, terrestrial radio systems, and ground BLOS circuits.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with land-based or surface-based defense systems, especially air defense systems.
• CISSP, Network+, or Security+ certification.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, STIGs, DoDAF, or NIST.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and collaborate on new platform design and integration.
