Experienced Carrier Sales and Operations (Logistics)

Location: Chicago, IL; onsite during the initial training period, followed by a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one remote day per week

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year plus commission and monthly performance incentives

What you will do

• Identify, source, and develop strategic relationships with motor carriers and other service providers.
• Build carrier profiles and connect carrier capacity with Redwood truckload sales opportunities.
• Engage carrier partners by phone, targeting 80 or more calls per day.
• Analyze market conditions, negotiate freight rates, and maximize profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with available carrier equipment and track shipments to resolve delays proactively.
• Verify freight charges and bills of lading, resolve payment discrepancies, and support timely carrier payment.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of proven success in carrier sales within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to change focus in response to market conditions and business needs.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago during initial training and four days per week in the office afterward.
