Junior Mechanical/Piping Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States; in-office environment with remote work available when needed

What you will do

• Develop mechanical and piping engineering knowledge through multidisciplinary project assignments.
• Support equipment identification and selection, including sizing, layout, technical specifications, and vendor information reviews.
• Perform piping system design activities, including hydraulic analysis, PFD and P&ID development, material specifications, stress analysis, and layout.
• Support field visits, project data collection, and population of information in the data-centric project environment.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, technicians, engineers, and senior designers throughout project delivery.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and project documentation while following corporate safety standards.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a preferred bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Understanding of engineering and business fundamentals applied to engineering projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, interact with staff, clients, and vendors, and travel as needed.
• Transcript, official or unofficial, must be submitted with the application.
