Product Engineer (Electro-Hydraulic Systems)

Employee-owned engineering-driven manufacturer with more than 50 years of experience designing and producing custom electro-hydraulic components and systems for OEMs worldwide.

What you will do

• Manage product development projects through the APQP process and lead them through production launch.
• Develop product concepts from customer requirements, problem statements, first principles, and industry best practices.
• Compile and maintain PPAP documentation for production submission.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Applications, and Design Engineering on product development and launch initiatives.
• Apply DFMEA and PFMEA methods, statistical analysis, and root-cause analysis to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot quality issues, and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment; internships and externships are considered.
• Experience managing development projects through the APQP process.
• Proficiency with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis tools and methodologies, including DFMEA and PFMEA.
• Strong root-cause analysis skills and working knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex technical information.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MS Office, Mathcad, Minitab, and/or Amesim.
