Design Engineering Specialist – Hydraulic Installation Expert (Hydraulics)

Location: Full-time on-site at a hirify.global facility in Tucson, Arizona, or Decatur, Illinois, United States. Up to 20% travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Develop and manage hydraulic installation design guides, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Serve as the technical authority for hydraulic installation, routing, packaging, and system integration across Resource Industries products.
• Lead technical design reviews, project planning, detailed design, development testing, and NPI engineering activities.
• Coach and mentor engineers while driving consistent engineering processes across teams.
• Evaluate suppliers, emerging technologies, materials, and hydraulic components to improve product and process performance.
• Lead reliability testing, failure analysis, troubleshooting, prototype construction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related accredited technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hydraulic installation design experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment hydraulic installation, hydraulic testing, and validation.
• Experience developing hydraulic design guides and engineering standards.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, NPI, and continuous improvement experience.
• Cross-functional collaboration and supplier collaboration experience.
