Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote within the United States; must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $101,600–$152,400 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and improve scalable data pipelines and API integrations.
• Build and maintain data architectures supporting enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Implement data quality monitoring, ETL best practices, database optimization, and cloud-based solutions.
• Apply generative AI to accelerate development, improve code quality, troubleshoot systems, and design scalable solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews, hands-on design sessions, code reviews, and iterative technical delivery.
• Support data governance, healthcare data standards, system reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure services including ADF, Dataflows, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery, DevOps, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with polyglot storage architectures, Delta Lake tables, Parquet data in ADLS, and distributed event-driven applications.
• Experience working with healthcare datasets and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
