Senior Data Engineer (Python/PySpark, Databricks)

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, with a hybrid workplace; permanent U.S. work authorization required

Salary: $154,627–$165,000 per year; 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Contribute to the in-house enterprise data platform through feature development, bug fixes, documentation, training, and architecture improvements.
• Design and implement data engineering solutions, including ETL pipelines for diverse datasets and cloud-based architectures.
• Lead code reviews, write well-encapsulated DRY code, and participate in architecture and design discussions.
• Translate client needs into technical action plans and present architecture solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead storyboarding presentations and internal or client team meetings.
• Mentor junior team members and serve as a Professional Development Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of related experience.
• 5 years of experience with Python or PySpark and configuring and managing ETL pipelines for diverse datasets.
• 5 years of experience making and presenting technical architecture presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• 2 years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud service offerings.
• 2 years of experience with the Databricks platform.
• Must have authority to work permanently in the United States.
