Planner/Scheduler (Spector)

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States; onsite at the Somerset facility

Salary: $77,126–$97,693 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Manage daily work orders in SAP, including release, prioritization, sequencing, status updates, and closure.
• Build and adjust short-term production schedules based on real-time shop-floor conditions.
• Monitor open, in-process, and late work orders and drive recovery actions.
• Reschedule work to address material shortages, rework, capacity constraints, and other execution risks.
• Act on MRP exception messages and support ECN and MRB implementation within active work orders.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisors, Production Managers, Project Managers, and Supply Chain partners to resolve execution issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, or production control.
• Experience building and adjusting production schedules and owning work order execution.
• Hands-on experience using SAP MRP for material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and supply chain operations.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and prioritization skills in a production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, WIP control, and production flow is preferred.

• Experience with low-volume, long-lead production.
