Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures, collapses, construction defects, and related engineering matters.
• Perform site inspections and collect data for forensic analysis.
• Apply structural engineering principles, codes, and standards to assess technical issues.
• Prepare clear technical reports describing findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Manage additional engineering duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Civil or Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois required.
• Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensure preferred; additional state licensure is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
• Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensure.
