Senior Connected Firmware Developer (IoT)

What you will do

• Design, implement, debug, test, and release production embedded firmware for connected consumer and home appliance products.
• Develop wireless connectivity, device provisioning and pairing, OTA updates, and differentiated connected experiences.
• Implement reusable Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter reference architectures and shared app/cloud integration components.
• Build BLE GATT profiles, Wi-Fi onboarding, cloud device registration, and authentication components.
• Review partner-developed firmware, participate in technical design reviews, and integrate external code with established standards.
• Maintain CI pipelines, static analysis, interoperability test infrastructure, and reproducible embedded builds.

Requirements

• 5+ years of embedded software and firmware development experience with meaningful depth in wireless connectivity or connected-device features.
• Commercial experience delivering and shipping connected firmware.
• Strong embedded C and C++ experience on resource-constrained platforms.
• Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, RTOS, OTA mechanisms, and connected-device security fundamentals.
• Experience with Git workflows, CI builds, unit testing, static analysis, and target-hardware debugging using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and trace.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline required.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer electronics, IoT devices, smart-home products, or other high-volume connected products.
• Experience with embedded CI/CD, automated testing, build infrastructure, or external development partners.
• Experience with display technologies and embedded graphics or UI frameworks.
