IoT Engineer (Industrial IoT)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and build connected, data-driven industrial systems spanning factory-floor operations and enterprise cloud platforms.
• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions covering edge data acquisition, secure connectivity, cloud ingestion, real-time analytics, and operational dashboards.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct code and design reviews, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor more junior engineers.
• Deliver reliable software that performs effectively in production environments.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization required; new H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of IIoT or industrial software engineering experience; the position also lists 8+ years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B, at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, and edge runtimes such as Greengrass or IoT Edge.
• Experience with OT/IT integration, streaming and real-time analytics, industrial cybersecurity, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital-twin platforms or predictive-maintenance ML models.
• Exposure to InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, Unified Namespace patterns, or ISA and IEC 62443 certifications.
