Focus on architecting end-to-end IIoT solutions, integrating industrial protocols and edge runtimes, and mentoring engineers while delivering production-ready systems.
Location: 100% remote within the United States
Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do
- Design and build connected, data-driven industrial systems from factory-floor devices to enterprise cloud platforms.
- Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions covering edge data acquisition, secure connectivity, cloud ingestion, real-time analytics, and operational dashboards.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute through code reviews, design reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Deliver production-ready software and systems that remain reliable in operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of IIoT or industrial software engineering experience; the position listing specifies 6+ years of experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B, and at least one major cloud IoT platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with edge runtimes such as Greengrass or IoT Edge, streaming and real-time analytics platforms, and OT/IT integration patterns.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, plus familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards.
Nice to have
- Experience with digital-twin platforms or predictive-maintenance ML models.
- Exposure to InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, Unified Namespace patterns, or industrial certifications such as ISA or IEC 62443.
