Quality Engineering Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the work schedule based at the East Aurora, NY site

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Quality Engineering team.
• Set quality objectives focused on reducing Cost of Poor Quality, nonconformances, and improving New Product Introduction readiness.
• Partner with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams to improve product quality and operational performance.
• Lead investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk mitigation for significant quality issues and product failures.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, government, and company quality requirements, including FAA and defense contract requirements.
• Manage quality activities, audits, contract reviews, management reviews, and department operating and capital budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Seven or more years of engineering, quality, or manufacturing experience in a regulated industry.
• Two or more years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical methods, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and other quality improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive quality performance in a manufacturing environment.
